You guys. I got FOUR Yuletide stories including story and treats. I just... seriously? Seriously, Yuletide writers? I am so, so grateful for these amazing, amazing stories.
I have only had time to skim quickly through the shorter ones, and have had to put off reading the longer ones completely due to urgent family bacon and cinnamon rolls and presents and Cleaning All the Things and Cooking All the Things, but each of these fics is a JOY and if you have any knowledge of these fandoms or even if not, go!
I wish I had time to say more, but wanted to post about these right away to express my total squee, and give anyone reading this a chance to go read them. So without further ado, here are these amazing stories all for MEEEEEE (and now for you, too <3 . I am going to organize these by source to make things easier.
LITTLE WOMEN (and LITTLE MEN and JO'S BOYS)
Okay, look, the Little Women, Little Men and Jo's Boys books were my frequent companions as a child. I read them over and over. I love Jo beyond all measure, and am hugely fond of every single character as well as the combination of old fashioned and cutting edge views evidenced in these books. More than anything, they're full of heart.
ANYWAY, I got a beautiful, beautiful story that combined everything I love and wanted into one beautifully characterized and written whole. I can't even. Just, go read this. (Okay, no, seriously, I love Nan so much and the writer did her justice ahhhh and then ALSO gave Dan a happier story because I love him and wanted some redemption and ALSO has a mature Jo and Laurie finding each other in a way that is respectful to Friedrich and Amy and I just... <3333)

THE FARSEER SERIES
Okay, so the second set of two fics I got are for Robin Hobb's The Farseer Series. I so desperately wanted more of the Fool, and/or Fitz and the Fool. I found this entire universe fascinating beyond all measure, and yearned to see more of these characters and their emotional journeys. Wow, did I luck out!
This story has a perfect voice and gives me the resolution I so craved for Fitz and the Fool. It seemed impossible to me that their bond could actually be severed. This fic beautifully shows how it might go, always staying respectful to Molly, which I appreciate so much, were Fitz to eventually realize he needed to find the Fool. I can't wait to have time to go back and savor this -- family obligations are seriously interfering right now! But you can go read it, right now:

And then this story is a fascinating look at the Fool. I'd said that I'm fascinated by the Fool and the ambiguity of his gender, and just in general would love to see any scenes that were offscreen in the books. This fic delivers a fascinating look at all those things, and in particular gives a heartbreaking insight into the Fool's childhood, at both her original home and at court. Wow, I must have been very, very nice and not very naughty this year, to get stories like these! <3
